Möja Hembygdsmuseum

Möja Hembygdsmuseum

Möja local museum is a small museum, dating from the 1900s, it is located on the hill in the village Berg on Möja overlooking Bergbo bay.

From the late 1900s to the early 1920, there were at Möja a curate named EB Gustavsson, who was interested in older objects. He gathered them in the tower chamber in the church.

Gustavsson 1922 bought an old cottage in the Berg village.

He could then move the collection from the church to the house he bought.

So was Möja museum formed, entirely private by a man as in the area was considered as a great original.

In many things, and after current standards, he was a man far ahead of his time, who understood what value old appliances would get for our time people in our industrialized world.

The museum consists of three buildings.
